Many people find the need for spectacles restricting and inconvenient or may simply want a different look for social occasions. Molsom and Associates offer a full contact lens service including lenses in a range of materials, designs and colours for those times when good vision is required without spectacles. Not everyone is suitable for contact lens wear, so firstly you will require a full eye examination to determine your optical prescription and to assess your suitability for a trial. If you have an up to date prescription from another optician this would also be welcome. FREE TRIAL After your eye examination and a recommendation of a suitable choice of contact lens, we will arrange for you to be taught insertion, removal and cleaning procedure by one of our trained clinical assistants. There are certain times when contact lenses should be removed and a strict wearing schedule will be advised in order to avoid long term complications. Our friendly staff will be able to answer any questions you may have about wearing and caring for your contact lenses at this visit. In most cases, we can offer you a FREE two week trial (monthly and daily disposables). After this you will need one final check on the fitting and prescription of your lenses and assessment of any effects they may be having on your eye. This is performed by one of our optometrists. If at this stage you and the optometrist are happy, you can then purchase the appropriate lenses. We will recommend regular contact lens check ups as well as your routine eye examinations, as our main priority is the health of your eyes. |
