At Molsom Optometrists, we carry a wide range of Sports and Fashion Sunglasses.

Maui Jim sunglasses are technically superior to other quality sunglasses, available in a range of classic styles, offering an undistorted clear view of colours, minimising glare and therefore causing less eye fatigue. They are all polarized to reduce reflections off shiny surfaces, which helps especially with driving and water sports.

Maui Jim lenses are the ultimate in sun protection, and have a polarisation which is unique to the company. It is a multi layer system which consists of a back surface reflection free and a front surface graduated mirroring, both which help to reduce reflections. The polarisation helps to reduce glare and protect the eyes, whether it is from the sun, sand, sea or snow. They are ideal for outdoor activities and driving. Also the vision is more natural if we go indoors.

Polarising lenses provide protection against UV light. Polarising lenses also provide effective protection against the glare caused by reflected sunlight.

Polarising lenses represent a great step forward in terms of quality of vision and are suitable for all outdoor activities including driving and sports. They are particularly useful for water sports such as sailing, fishing and winter sports when the eyes are under stress from sunlight reflected by flat surfaces (water, show & ice).
