School Visits with Molsom Mole

Ensuring all children receive regular eye examinations from an early age is important to our team. So we provide school visits for pre school, reception and year one children where we talk about what an eye examination is, basic make up of the eye, glasses and sunglasses and how to look after your eyes.

For smaller classes and groups we deliver an interactive talk or for larger groups we will deliver a talk with work stations after. These can include;

• Trying on different styles of glasses
• Trying our "magic" sunglasses
• Looking at different lenses, thicker, thinner, coloured
• Using UV torches to change lenses from clear to sunglasses
• Looking at braille sheets and fun facts about the eyes
• Colour vision tests

The session ends with a visit from Molsom Mole and a chance for photos. Each child will also receive a goody bag with leaflets, bookmark and colouring sheet to take home.

Talks for older children can be booked with our dispensing optician and/or Optician by arrangement.
